Newsletter special: Merry Christmas + the fail-safe turkey

newsletter archive pic_2.jpg

It’s Christmas in a week and that reminds me of a few years back when my husband and I were invited to a relative’s place for Christmas. They bought an organic turkey for the occasion (because Alvaro and I were into organic back then) and followed the turkey cooking instructions from the specialty butcher.

And a bunch of folks in the family had some ‘tummy issues’ after eating this turkey.

Not my husband and I though. Because for reasons I can’t quite recall, we never made it to the Christmas dinner that poisoned the family.

You can believe we’re reminded of this every year!

As for me, I’ve only cooked a turkey once and after cutting into it, I saw some too-pink parts. Fortunately, no harm done.

I’ve since learned it’s possible to cook a turkey without giving your loved ones the runs or stressing about that possibility.

That’s what I want to share with you today.

Two turkey tricks from Jamie Oliver:

The best roast turkey (“You put the stuffing where?!”)

And one more thing …

Merry Christmas!

Wishing you some rest and relaxation with people you love over the holidays.

Until next time, keep on truckin’,
